This track contains The Who performing "We're Not Gonna Take It". Toward the end, there are stage announcements and Joe Cocker making a comment before he performed, "With A Little Help From My Friends"
This track contains Joe Cocker performing "With A Little Help From My Friends". At the end is the rain storm. Caution for young years. The 'f' word is used toward the end. However the word is used out of concern for others' safety, which is a good thing.
In the case of these connections, maybe the easiest way to explain what I am talking about is to listen to the music. The first three tracks below are from "Woodstock, music from the original soundtrack and more". Listen to the tracks here by clicking play in the player window. You will need "realplayer" brand software go to http://www.realplayer.com) Even though these songs are about 40 years old, do not download, just listen(listening might even be going too far). Even though owning a song is somewhat like owning the wind(Dust in the Wind, by Kansas, is another nice old song.), there may some people who wouldn't mind being hypocritcal if it makes them money. How about being true to words sung? I say, 'it can be done, and it must be done'.
This track contains the crowd rain chant and Santana performing "Soul Sacrifice"
This track from Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young is titled "Woodstock" How much it has to do with Woodstock? That's a question that comes to mind. There have been legal fights over who wrote the song etc. But it sounds good. Thanks, to whoever wrote it!
This track is from Blues Image performing "Ride Captain Ride" It alludes to the idea that Americans have lost the freedom that we once had. To find it once again we have to go even farther west, past San Francisco.
This track is from King Harvest "Dancing in the Moonlight"
Cat Stevens with "Peace Train"
Chicago "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?"
Chicago "Saturday In The Park"
Ringo Starr "It Don't Come Easy"
Ten Years After "I'd Love To Change The World"
Creedence Clearwater Revival "Who'll Stop The Rain?"
Creedence Clearwater Revival "Up Around The Bend"
Jim Croce "I Got A Name" God gives everyone a name that only God and ourselves know. It does not matter that we are remembered, but it does matter that we are remembered being good and noble. The murder-suicide is an all too common route frustrated people take, who don't get their way. The act of bearing difficulties without harming others, is it's own reward. You will be remembered with fondness.
Johnny Rivers "Summer Rain"
Three Dog Night "Let Me Serenade You"
George Harrison "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"
George Harrison "My Sweet Lord"
George Harrison "Give Me Love"
Doobie Brothers "Jesus Is Just Alright"
Doobie Brothers "Listen To The Music"
October 23rd, 2010 ;  I have removed all mp3 tracks form my website, except for one. Not because of any pressure, but as a precaution. Present day conservative commentators like to tout the writings of the founders of the U.S.A., like Thomas Jefferson. Thomas Jefferson wrote down many of his hopes and aspirations for the future of America. One of those aspirations, I can't say that I have ever heard from a conservative media personality mention. That aspiration was that Americans have the free trade of ideas. This means no patents or copyrights. What a different world we would have today if there were no patents or copyrights. More of us would have to perform real work, for one thing.
